I'm getting above error for pretty much any link to list item on the sharepoint site. the exact error is below.

"AJAX Request returned an invalid response. Please contact your System Adminsitrator."

The same site seems to be working fine in Safari simulator for iPad on desktop. I'm using browser bundled with "Good for Enterprise" app on the ipad. The browser seems to be Safari.

Sharepoint is 2010 and client is ipad with "good for enterprise" app browser. Can't access intranet from ipad safari.

Any idea what might be going on?

thanks

Hi,

First, you should be sure your iPad is running the latest version of the iOS software (4.3.3 or greater). There was an issue that we saw on older versions of the OS when making AJAX requests to a site using NTLM Authentication. Upgrading the OS fixed that issue.

That said, we have not had great luck with Good's browser supporting the AJAX requests that Mobile Entree makes. We have reached out to Good a few times but have not been able to work with them through the issues we faced. We have not tested Good since the 4.3.3 upgrade, however, so doing that first may fix it.

Thanks Joe. I verified that iOS is 4.3.3. I'm glad you are aware of Good's browser. We may have to work only with good browser. Are you aware of any settings or workarounds that may help? any alternative from mobile entree to ajax? thanks

Mobile Entree uses jQuery ajax() methods which are fairly basic in functionality.

Check out this document from Good in the Troubleshooting section, it points to a way you can report an AJAX issue to them: http://www.good.com/media/pdf/documentation6/SecureBrowser.pdf
