The following is a list of changes for Mobile Entree 2.0.  This is not a comprehensive list of all changes, but the most significant ones in this release.

We have put together a library of videos that provide a wealth of information about Mobile Entree.  You can view these videos here.

Price Increase
The Mobile Entree Enterprise license cost will go up to $4,950 from $3,950.  The Mobile Entree Basic license cost will go up to $995 from $795.  See this document for a comparison of Basic vs. Enterprise.

App Instancing
Mobile Entrée Applications can now be instanced and independently configured for a given SharePoint site.  Previously, when a Mobile Application was installed via the activation of a SharePoint Web Feature, a single instance was installed and could be configured.  The activation of the Feature now makes that Application available to be installed (or instanced) multiple times.  Each instance of the Mobile Application has an independent Targeting and Application configuration.

App Icons
Mobile Entrée Applications can now be assigned custom App Icons.  Each instance of an application can have a unique icon.  Mobile Entrée will come out-of-the-box with a large selection of app icons and  a developer can include custom icons in their Mobile Applications.

App Feeds
Mobile Entrée Applications can now publish one or more App Feeds.  These feeds follow the List Item paradigm of the Mobile Entrée Application architecture, and can be consumed as RSS or any other XML format.  These app feeds provide for quick, read-only views into Application data.  Items in App Feeds can be assigned ClickAction properties to allow the mobile user to click on an App Feed Item and navigate into the Mobile Entrée Application hosting the App Feed.

Home Screen Customization
The Base Plugin can now have its Home Screen customized.  Sections (Search, Lists, Documents, …) can be renamed & reordered.  Each instance of the Base Plugin for a given SharePoint site can have its Home Screen customized independently.

Home Screen Views
In addition to the Base Plugin being able to rename and reorder sections (see above), Home Screen Views can be added to the Home Screen of the Base Plugin.  These can either be Views from Lists or Libraries or App Feeds from other instances of Mobile Entrée Applications that publish app feeds.

Themes
Mobile Entrée now supports custom Themes.  These are packages of HTML, CSS, and Javascript for the provisioning and implementation of custom interfaces, controls, and branding.  Themes can be scoped at either the Web or the Site Collection level.  A simple theme could add some branding to the out-of-the-box interface and controls; that once activated at the Site Collection level would ensure all configuration of Mobile access to your company SharePoint site is branded.  Any custom mobile applications built could also inherit this theme to allow the developers to focus on functionality and not have to worry about form.

Mobile Document Services
As SharePoint & Excel Services change the way we think about Business Intelligence, Mobile Entrée has brought this exciting new capability to the mobile workforce.  Through a simple add-in to Excel a knowledge worker can isolate key Cell Range Data, Charts, and Sparklines (Excel 2010 only) to make them easily available to the mobile user.  By integrating tightly with Excel, the mobile user is presented with Mobile Dashboards when they click on a given Excel document from their mobile device.  Additionally, Pivot Tables and Charts can be ‘Mobile Enabled’ to allow for mobile consumption of Pivot data.  This is the same Excel dashboard the user would click on from their PC and so the mobile consumption of this business intelligence is both intuitive and as portable as the Excel document itself.
