Web-level tracing is a new feature as of Mobile Entree 2.2. It allows you to trace the actions of a user as they browse your site. The logs it produces are helpful in finding errors and seeing device specific information needed to properly debug.
By default, web-level tracing is not enabled. You must enable it from Central Administration -> Mobile Entree Management -> Allow Web Level Tracing. Once enabled, you will see a Diagnostics tab in the Mobile Entree Config page.
To start a trace, follow these steps:
- Pick a user to trace using the "Set User Filter" People picker
- Click Start Trace
- Allow the user to browse the mobile interface to where they are recieving the error
- Click Stop Trace
You can browse the trace on the page or download it by clicking Save Trace. Error details are only visible at this time in the downloaded trace file.
